When I was working at Microsoft, we had to do a clean wipe of our machines every week or two. Apparently it's impossible to do a clean uninstall of Visual Studio? I don't know, but it was the most amazing waste of time you've ever seen, utterly demoralizing, and it cured me of any remaining desire to customize my machine.
