In 2015, working with researchers at the University of California at Berkeley’s Center for Race & Gender, CAIR recorded 78 attacks on U.S. mosques, the highest since it began counting in 2009. Vandals burned crosses on a New York mosque’s lawn, covered the door of a Texas mosque in feces, and laid a severed pig’s head outside one in Philadelphia.
