Two years before Obamacare plans started I had a plan with good coverage and a $5000 deductible for $115/month. One year before Obamacare plans started (actually 9 months before because of when my policy renewed) it went up to $155/month, some of that increase was a new tax that went into place along with Obamacare. The first year of Obamacare plans my plan was cancelled, my new option was for an Obamacare plan with a $6,000 deductible for $215/month. Then last year I could have gotten my Obamacare plan for something like $260/month. Just checked my cheapest Obamacare plan for next year with a $5,500 deductible is $345/month. So over the course of the last not quite 5 years my premium has tripled.
